Data Deletion Instructions
This page explains how to request deletion of any data that the Sow & Store Poster application has obtained from Meta, and how to revoke the application’s access to a Facebook account.
What data exists at all. Sow & Store Poster is an internal tool. The only Meta data it holds is a Page access token for the Sow & Store Facebook Page, that Page’s ID and name, and the IDs of posts the application itself created. It holds no data about Facebook users, Page visitors, or anyone other than the Page’s own operator.
Option 1 — Request deletion by email
- Send an email to danskepadelklip@gmail.com with the subject line “Data deletion request”.
- Include the Facebook Page name or Page ID the request concerns, so the correct records can be located.
- You will receive confirmation that the request was received within 7 days, and confirmation that deletion is complete within 30 days.
On receipt of a valid request, the stored Page access token is destroyed, the Page ID and all stored post IDs and queued post content are deleted from the scheduling database, and any operational log entries referencing them are purged. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone; the application stops publishing immediately.
Option 2 — Revoke access from Facebook
The operator can revoke the application’s access directly from their Facebook account at any time:
- Open Settings & privacy → Settings on Facebook.
- Select Apps and Websites in the left-hand menu.
- Find Sow & Store Poster in the list.
- Choose Remove and confirm.
Removing the application invalidates its access token immediately, so it can no longer read from or publish to the Page. Any data already stored by the application is then deleted automatically within 30 days; to have it deleted sooner, send the email request described above.
Facebook’s own guidance is available at Facebook Help: Apps and Websites.
Posts already published
Posts that the application has already published belong to the Sow & Store Facebook Page, not to the application. Deleting the application’s data does not remove them. They can be deleted by the Page operator directly on Facebook.
Your other rights
Deletion is one of several rights described in the Privacy Policy, which also covers access, rectification, restriction, portability, and objection, along with the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
